“No todo el mundo es quien dice ser”: la campaña del Gobierno para alertar sobre el grooming en la cuarentena. Los niños están siempre en sus casas y pasan mucho tiempo online, donde existe el riesgo del contacto con desconocidos
En el marco de las medidas dispuestas por el Gobierno nacional para frenar el avance de la pandemia de coronavirus en la Argentina, las clases llevan ya más de tres semanas de suspensión. En ese contexto, los niños y niñas permanecen dentro de sus hogares y, una gran cantidad de tiempo, conectados a redes sociales e Internet, desde donde también acceden muchas veces a clases online.
Sin embargo, y a pesar de que las nuevas tecnologías dieron un gran paso adelante en el acceso a la información, existen también situaciones de riesgo en su uso inadecuado, especialmente para los más chicos.
Es el caso del grooming: el engaño intencional de un adulto hacia un niño, niña o adolescente a través de las redes sociales con el propósito de ejercer alguna forma de violencia sexual. Este tipo de acoso se manifiesta generalmente cuando un adulto genera un perfil falso en una red social o una sala de chat, entre otros espacios virtuales, y distorsiona su edad e identidad para generar confianza, entablar un vínculo con el niño o niña que quiera acosar y así conseguir material sexual explícito o concertar un encuentro.
En ese sentido, el Ministerio de Justicia y Derechos Humanos difundió a través de su página web guías didácticas dirigidas a niñas, niños, padres, madres y docentes, con el objetivo de concientizar y prevenir sobre este delito en el contexto del aislamiento social. Desde la cartera que conduce Marcela Losardo señalan que las estadísticas muestran que 1 de cada 3 niños o adolescentes ha sufrido una situación incómoda en la web.
Las recomendaciones del Ministerio para niños y niñas prevenir el “grooming” incluyen consejos sobre el cuidado de la intimidad, lo fácil que es crear perfiles falsos en las redes, la perpetuidad de los contenidos que se publican en Internet y las consecuencias que eso puede tener en el mundo real. También no compartir contraseñas, hablar solo con personas conocidas y dedicar tiempo a configurar la privacidad.

A los padres y madres, el ministerio de Justicia recomienda principalmente mantener una conversación fluída respecto del uso de Internet y las redes sociales y los peligros que pueden existir tanto en la vida física como digital. También la importancia de prestar atención a los cambios repentinos de conducta, evitar bajo todo punta de vista culpar a los menores por el ciberacoso y encontrar un sano equilibro, teniendo en cuenta las edades, entre el control y la prevención.
Otro de los consejos es evitar la sobreexposición de los menores en las redes y colaborar en la configuración de privacidad de sus redes. Por otro lado, la guía para padres también recuerda que el grooming es un delito, por lo cual debe ser denunciado en cualquier comisaría, fiscalía o dependencia judicial del país y las conversaciones no deben borrarse ya que son la evidencia del crimen. Muchos especialistas alertan sobre los peligros que conlleva hacerse pasar por un menor para atrapar a un pedófilo en lugar de denunciar.
