Además, a través del sistema de cámaras de seguridad del municipio, se podrá controlar a las personas que deben permanecer en cuarentena para evitar contagiar a otros. Sin embargo, en las fotos difundidas llamó la atención la falta de personal en el Centro de Monitoreo.

A partir de ahora, mediante un sistema de geolocalización y control médico que funciona desde el Centro de Operaciones Municipal (COM) de La Matanza, las autoridades de este partido bonaerense realizarán un seguimiento de los casos confirmados y sospechosos de estar contagiados de coronavirus, quienes cumplen con el aislamiento en sus domicilios. Con este nuevo sistema todos los pacientes a través de sus teléfonos móviles son monitoreados las 24 horas por médicos y especialistas.
El intendente local, Fernando Espinoza, acompañado por la vicegobernadora de la Provincia de Buenos Aires, Verónica Magario, y por el presidente de la Asociación de profesionales del Hospital de Clínicas, Doctor Luis Sarotto, supervisó el inicio de las operaciones de esta herramienta que se puso en marcha a partir de un acuerdo con la Universidad de Buenos Aires y que se basa en un software permitirá tener un registro de las personas que tienen o podrían tener COVID-19.
El jefe comunal agradeció la iniciativa y resaltó la rápida ejecución con que se desarrolló en el distrito: «Qué mejor que el día del trabajador estar con destacadísimos profesionales de la medicina y la docencia de nuestro país. Es un orgullo inmenso que estén acá poniendo en marcha este sueño que se logró en sólo 15 días”, destacó Espinoza durante el acto.
«No hablo solamente del monitoreo de pacientes a través de este software -continuó enfático el Intendente-, sino de lo que vienen haciendo hace años por la ciencia y la medicina de nuestro país. Está claro que la Universidad pública y gratuita en Argentina genera oportunidades como esta. Como dijo nuestro Premio Nobel de Medicina, Bernardo Houssay: la ciencia no tiene Patria, pero el hombre de ciencia sí la tiene. Y ustedes hoy están haciendo Patria”, agregó el intendente.

Además, Espinoza señaló que “es un orgullo» para él que puedan “estar todos los argentinos juntos” y destacó el rol de la vicegobernadora bonaerense, quien “trabajó en este proyecto” con las áreas de salud de La Matanza.
“Estamos construyendo todos juntos una nueva Argentina: la Argentina de las mayorías, poniendo en práctica en medio de esta pandemia un programa basado en las nuevas tecnologías a través del cual vamos a poder trabajar en beneficiar a muchísimas personas, ya sean pacientes confirmados o sospechosos de tener el virus”, sostuvo.
Por último, el mandatario municipal agregó: “Esto nos permitirá optimizar el recurso médico que tenemos, ya que el seguimiento de los pacientes se realizará con médicos que no están en los hospitales por diversos motivos, ya sea su edad o por estar comprendidos en algún grupo de riesgo, y que van a trabajar desde sus casas”.
De esta manera, el sistema de seguimiento no sólo permitirá controlar la evolución de los pacientes, sino también el cumplimiento del aislamiento obligatorio. Al mismo tiempo que permite optimizar y aprovechar al máximo a todo el personal médico disponible, aunque esté en cuarentena.
Por su parte, Verónica Magario aseguró que estas herramientas “están ayudando no sólo a prevenir el coronavirus, sino que además ayudan a trabajar y a poder seguir los casos, controlar a la población, hacer un monitoreo permanente las 24 horas de la situación y de los habitantes”.
Por su parte, el presidente de la Asociación de Profesionales del Hospital de Clínicas explicó que el desarrollo de este software “permitirá un abordaje integral, monitoreado y geolocalizado de los pacientes contagiados y de los pacientes sospechosos de contagio”.
“Esta es la Argentina que viene, donde apostamos a un Estado presente para poder generar el bienestar de todos, en contraposición a lo que tuvimos que ver en los últimos cuatro años. La pandemia va a pasar. Argentina tiene un futuro promisorio y esto es gracias a políticas de Estado como la que estamos viendo en este centro de monitoreo, que nos permite llevar adelante el seguimiento, cuidado y protección de todos nuestros vecinos. Porque hoy la única vacuna que tenemos es cuidarnos entre todos, con amor y solidaridad. Y lo más importante es que seamos responsables. Por eso, una vez más, les pido: Quédense en casa”, resaltó Espinoza al cerrar el acto.
