Desde Formosa hasta Santa Cruz, desde Ciudad de Buenos Aires hasta Mendoza, pasando por Neuquén, Santa Fe, Entre Ríos, Tucumán y La Pampa, todas las provincias que Infobae consultó hacen informes epidemiológicos diarios con horas precisas de difusión y gran detalle de la evolución de los casos con el objetivo de que la opinión pública esté informada con claridad y transparencia. No es el caso de la provincia de Buenos Aires.
La explicación oficial que dan en el equipo de Axel Kicillof es que “lo informa Nación, es la indicación que recibimos, porque es una decisión que se tomó en el COE nacional cuando comenzó el trabajo en el inicio de la pandemia”.
Lo que sí brindan, a diario, es una infografía con un resumen de la situación epidemiológica de la provincia de Buenos Aires con información de positivos totales, fallecidos, altas, cantidad de test realizados en el día y nuevos casos confirmados.

Como su nombre mismo lo dice, es un resumen, que además no se difunde en un horario determinado como sucede en Nación y en las provincias, incluida CABA. El segundo distrito con más infectados brinda un completo informe epidemiológico todas las mañanas en una conferencia de prensa.
Lo mismo sucede en Formosa, por dar solo un ejemplo, y no tiene hasta ahora ningún caso. Incluso se sabe que Gildo Insfrán, muy atento al tema, se negó a viajar a la reunión presencial con gobernadores que convocó el Presidente para informarlos de la propuesta que se haría a los bonistas extranjeros porque no estaba dispuesto a ser “el paciente cero de mi provincia”.
La negativa de la provincia de Buenos Aires a cumplir con una de los pedidos de la OMS en materia de pandemia, que pone en el centro la transparencia y la credibilidad, facilitar “información oportuna y frecuente basada en la evidencia como mejor vacuna contra los rumores y la desinformación”, no deja de llamar la atención.
Según la guía para líderes realizada por la OMS/OPS con orientaciones para comunicar sobre el COVID-19, hay que “mantener al público plenamente informado -explique lo que se sabe y lo que no- de modo que el público entienda cuál es su nivel personal de riesgo de padecer una infección por el virus y actúe en consecuencia”.
Y se debe “mantener la credibilidad y la confianza del público en las autoridades proporcionando información correcta y con base científica, pero reconociendo las incertidumbres, con honestidad, conocimiento y compromiso”. También hay que “responder rápidamente las inquietudes específicas y las necesidades de información del público”.
Sin embargo, ni el ministro de Salud bonaerense, Daniel Gollán, ni nadie de su equipo dan nada más que un resumen diario que sale a cualquier hora y sin posibilidad de profundizar la información. No hay transparencia en la difusión, ni posibilidad de hacer seguimiento diario con las autoridades que están al frente del combate sanitario bonaerense.
Esta actitud incomoda a los intendentes de la provincia de Buenos Aires, que terminan difundiendo sus casos en forma local y sin una metodología general. Pueden dar cuenta de esta particular situación los periodistas que escribieron sobre la situación epidemiológica de cada distrito, donde la información hubo que obtenerla tomando contacto con los secretarios de Salud de cada municipio.
Uno de ellos, de un Municipio peronista le dijo ayer a Infobae que “debe ser que Axel (Kicillof) no quiere estigmatizar a los infectados”, una ironía en relación a cuando fue Ministro de Economía y no quería difundir el índice de pobreza por esa razón.
Como sea, en el Ministerio de Salud de la Nación negaron que se le haya dado a la provincia de Buenos Aires la indicación de no realizar un informe epidemiológico diario y exhaustivo, que es lo esperable del distrito que tiene más casos en la Argentina.
