El intendente Jorge Macri firmó un convenio con el Ramada by Wyndham para poner a disposición del personal de salud que desee descansar.
El municipio de Vicente López firmó con el Hotel Ramada by Wyndham un convenio que tiene como objetivo brindar alojamiento al personal de salud municipal que cuida y asisten a los vecinos en la lucha contra la pandemia COVID-19, para que desee descansar y que ellos mismos puedan prevenir el contacto con su familia llevando el virus a sus casas.
El Hotel se encuentra ubicado en Av. Gral. José de San Martín 450, a pocas cuadras del Hospital Houssay. La propuesta, generada a partir de la firma del convenio, es absolutamente voluntaria y es una alternativa segura de descanso a médicos, enfermeros y todos aquellos que la secretaria de salud disponga. Hasta el momento están cubiertas 390 noches por 103 plazas.
Es de importancia que ellos puedan preservar a sus familias, ya que son quienes están en estado de riego latente con pacientes infectados. Además, desde la comuna se hace especial hincapié en resguardarlos para que no sean víctimas de agresiones, como fueron de público conocimiento en las últimas semanas.
“Queremos acompañar a aquellos que nos cuidan y agradecerles por su enorme esfuerzo y dedicación para poder enfrentar esta situación. Los médicos y todo el personal de salud son nuestro orgullo, hay que devolverles un poco de todo lo que están haciendo y harán por nosotros en los próximos meses”.

También agradeció a las empresas que a partir de sus colaboraciones es posible disponer del hotel, ellas son ANCA, Sergio Trepat, Naval Motors, Menoyo, Exanet y Atmosféricos Santa Teresita.
Además, el intendente sostuvo que: “Esto demuestra un compromiso muy grande por parte de los dueños y el personal del hotel, para que sus instalaciones puedan estar dedicadas plenamente a nuestro equipo de salud, para que puedan venir acá, cambiar de ambiente, descansar”. Y añadió que “muchos de ellos, ante el temor de volver a casa, se quedan en el hospital y a los veinte días pueden estar sanos, pero agotados mentalmente. Cuidar la salud mental de los que están en el frente de batalla es fundamental”.
Por su parte, el Secretario de Salud, Fernando Tejo subrayó la importancia del convenio firmado ya que busca que los trabajadores de la salud “puedan liberarse por un momento de la situación de estrés diario y el agotamiento físico que implica afrontar esta pandemia”.
Junto al jefe comunal estuvieron presentes el secretario de Salud, Fernando Tejo, el director ejecutivo del Hotel Ramada Vicente López, José Grasso, y el gerente de la institución, Antonio Pero, quienes firmaron el convenio luego de conocer las habitaciones y las instalaciones con las que puede contar el personal que allí se aloje.
