La llegada del intendente de Avellaneda Jorge Ferraresi al ministerio de Desarrollo Territorial y Hábitat volvió a abrir el debate interno en el peronismo bonaerense, en este caso, por quién se queda con la presidencia de la Federación Argentina de Municipios (FAM).
El tema había sido postergado hasta marzo por la pandemia del nuevo coronavirus, pero la coronación de un hombre de Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, en el gabinete nacional, llevó a que, por ejemplo, Fernando Gray, el intendente de Esteban Echeverría, y alineado con el primer mandatario, declaró en los medios que Juan Horacio “Juanchi” Zabaleta, el jefe comunal de Hurlingham, presida la FAM.
Actualmente el organismo creado por el ex presidente Néstor Kirchner, está encabezado por Javier Noguera, el alcalde de Tafi Viejo, Tucumán. Ocupó ese lugar cuando la entonces intenta de La Matanza, Verónica Magario, fue electa como vicegobernadora de Axel Kicillof.
La última reunión –virtual- de la FMA fue el 21 de octubre pasado. Ese día se reunió la mesa ejecutiva de la Federación Argentina de Municipios y decidió el aplazamiento de la próxima elección de autoridades para marzo de 2021, debido al confinamiento social y obligatorio por el COVID-19.
Hasta ese momento, los candidatos con mayor consenso son Fernando Espinoza, intendente de La Matanza, con 11 votos, y Zabaleta con 8.
De ese zoom participaron Noguera, su titular; el secretario ejecutivo, Juan Matteo y los intendentes titulares, representando a municipios de todo el país, entre otros Espinoza (La Matanza), Martín Piaggio (Gualeguaychú), Maria Emilia Soria (General Roca), Alberto Descalzo (Ituzaingó), Juan Pablo Luque (Comodoro Rivadavia), Guillermo Ferreyra (Esquiú-Catamarca) y Walter Vuoto (Ushuaia).
“La FAM habla en representación de todos los intendentes del país. Como bonaerense, me gustaría que esté representada por un intendente del Conurbano”, declaró Gray la semana pasada.
